GG Calgary – Basement Waterproofing ("GG Calgary", "we", "us"), a GG Group company, respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
When you request a free inspection or quote, book an appointment, call or message us, we collect the details you give us: name, phone number, email address, property address, and information about your basement or the work you need. Our website also collects basic technical data (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and referring ad or link) through cookies and analytics tools.
Why we use it
- To respond to your request, schedule and carry out inspections, quotes and work.
- To provide warranty service and keep records required by law.
- To improve our website and measure which ads and mailings work.
- To send you marketing messages, only where you have given consent (see below).
Consent and commercial electronic messages (CASL)
By submitting a form you consent to us contacting you about your request. We will only send promotional emails or texts if you tick the optional marketing consent box, which is never pre-ticked, or where Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation otherwise allows. Every marketing message identifies us and includes a working unsubscribe link; you can also reply STOP to texts. We act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
Service providers
We use trusted service providers who process information on our behalf and only for our purposes, including HighLevel (GoHighLevel / LeadConnector) for our forms, booking calendar, customer records and messaging; website hosting (Netlify); analytics and advertising platforms (Google and Meta); and financing partners if you apply for financing. Some providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We require providers to protect your information.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics and advertising pixels to understand site use and ad performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, for warranty obligations and as required by law, then securely delete it. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards.
Your rights
You may ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent (subject to legal or contractual limits). Contact our privacy contact below. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
